Scholarships
It is the intent of the South Central Chapter (SCC) to provide assistance to members of the Chapter who are in need of funds to attend certain conferences, professional development programs/workshops, and scholastic endeavors. All assistance will be based upon funds made available by the approval of the Chapter budget each year.
Eligibility
Scholarship candidates must meet these minimum criteria to apply:
- Be a member in good standing with the Chapter
- Be a member of AAAE
- Be enrolled with National AAAE as an Executive Candidate or Certified Member Candidate if applying for assistance relative to the pursuit of such

Submit a complete application, including a letter of recommendation from a supervisor who is authorized to approve travel.
Applications
Conference Assistance and/or Professional Development Scholarship (Non-Student)
Assistance may be applied to one of the following conference's or programs up to $3,000.00:
- Annual AAAE Conference & Exhibition
- SCC-AAAE Annual Conference
- AAAE F. Russell Hoyt National Airports Conference
- AAAS Non-Hub / GA Airports Conference
- Airport Operations and Technology Symposium
- Loretta Scott Academy, A.A.E. Accreditation/Certification Written Exam Preparation Workshop
- Accreditation Written Paper Preparation Workshop
- SCC’s Peer Review Council Workshops

Other AAAE Training and Certification program
Conference Assistance and/or Professional Development Application
**Deadlines for scholarship applications are due no later than 60 days prior to the start date of the academy, conference or training program for which you are seeking assistance. These scholarships can be used to reimburse registration Conference, transportation and lodging.**
Student Member Scholarship (Academic/Conference Assistance)
Scholarship recipients must be an individual member of SCCAAAE and or a student of an airport/aviation management program (Junior/Senior standing) at a major/accredited College or University, with a grade point average of 2.8 or higher when applying. Reimbursements will be awarded to students/members upon confirmation, by receipt, of successful program accomplishment or conference attendance. If an application is submitted for a group or class, the application academic reference may be submitted in letter form providing it contains all applicant names. Student scholarships may be awarded in the amount of up to $3,000.00.
