Executive Director, ODAA
The Commission is a state agency in charge of promoting aviation and aerospace across the state, including the 108 public airports that comprise Oklahoma’s air transportation system. Ardies’ emphasis is on promoting the aerospace industry, the state’s second largest industry; planning and development of the state’s air transportation system; and encouraging public-private partnerships to enhance the aerospace industry and support workforce development. Director Ardies graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Aviation Management with minors in Business Administration and Air Traffic Control. As part of his education through the aviation program, he also received a commercial pilot’s license with single and multi-engine instrument ratings and is a certified flight instructor.

Airport Manager, Arlington Municipal Airport
Trent has been with the Arlington Municipal Airport since 2014, serving as the Airport Manager since October of 2021. Prior to coming to the City, Trent worked in the private sector at Harrison Aviation as a Line Service Technician. He has held City positions as Airport Maintenance Technician, Airport Operations Supervisor and was Assistant Airport Manager from 2016 to 2021. In 2024, Trent oversaw the acquisition of the airports Fixed Base Operator, bringing under the operation of the Airport. He has a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Administration and Operations from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. He carries the Certified Member designation from the American Association of Airport Executives.

Araceli “Chely” Caraveo serves as the Talent & Workforce Development Manager for Dallas Love Field Airport. With over 16 years of experience with the City of Dallas, including 3 years in the aviation industry, Chely is a dedicated leader specializing in talent acquisition, retention, and development. She is passionate about fostering a culture of continuous growth and collaborates with leadership to establish goals and priorities that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Chely also develops strategies and initiatives to attract, nurture, and retain top talent at Dallas Love Field. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Casey Coker
President
Casey Coker is the Sales Manager at ACES Recruiting and Staffing, where she focuses on advancing career opportunities within the aviation industry. As the President of the Women in Aviation North Texas Chapter and former Outreach Chair, Casey has been instrumental in fostering youth engagement, notably coordinating the inaugural Maintenance Competition for Girls in Aviation Day 2024 and enhancing collaboration with local school districts. Her advocacy efforts include representing business aviation on Capitol Hill with the National Business Aviation Association's Young Professionals. Casey is deeply committed to promoting industry growth and development, all while balancing her role as a proud wife and mother of four children and three fur babies.
Chris Coons
Texas Aviation Lead, Lochner
Chris Coons, a licensed professional engineer, is the Texas Aviation Lead for Lochner, located in Dallas, Texas. Through his 26+ years of experience in the aviation industry, he has developed a passion for working with airport and private-sector clients. For the past 17 years, Chris has been proud to have managed aviation-related projects for the airport communities within AAAE’s South Central Chapter, including assisting multiple with preparing for special events at their aviation facilities.
When he is not working, you will find him with his wife, Karin, and fur-baby, Sandy-Jane. He spends his free time cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, playing sand volleyball, and driving around town with the top of his Jeep Gladiator off when the weather is nice. Rozalind Dickerson Cleaver
Community Engagement Manager
Rozalind Dickerson Cleaver has always been rooted in community service and education. She remembers attending city council and school board meetings, along with local events/activities regularly with her parents throughout her childhood. All of which helped to develop some of the servant leadership skills she uses today.
Rozalind realized how much those childhood activities impacted her adult life after graduating from Spelman College and obtaining a master’s degree in Public Affairs at the University of Texas – Dallas. She started her public service career as Scheduler and Deputy Political Director for the Ron Kirk for U.S. Senate. And that, led to a 20+ year career with the City of Dallas. Currently, as Community Engagement Manager with the Department of Aviation.
She volunteers regularly at St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church, National Alumnae Association Spelman College – DFW and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Rozalind and her husband, Michael, enjoy traveling and attending cultural events as often as possible.
Ellen Kay Crews
Senior Consultant Woolpert , FCSI, CCS, CCCA, CDT, SFP, FMP
Ms. Crews has over 40 years of experience in design, construction, management, and operation of constructed assets. She has spent the last 25 years of her career delivering asset management-related projects within fully functioning airports, which has given her an understanding of not only airport operations but also what is of importance within each airport and its stakeholder departments. She understands skills assessments, Total Cost of Ownership analysis, ISO 50000 compliance, standards development, business processes and procedures, contracts and specifications, design guidelines, asset inventories, and preventive maintenance. Ellen fosters close working relationships with clients, lending them her extensive knowledge of the airport industry. She has served as a trusted advisor, helping others brainstorm ideas.
Jon Erion

Mr. Erion has over 25 years of broad aviation environmental and planning experience. He is an aviation environmental specialist and project manager for RS&H, Inc., leading technical assignments and supporting the company’s NEPA work throughout Texas and the region.
Heather Estrada
Interim Assistant Director of Customer and Community Engagement, Aviation at Dallas Love Field Airport
Heather Estrada currently serves as the Interim Assistant Director of Customer and Community Engagement for the Department of Aviation at Dallas Love Field Airport. She has been with the Department of Aviation for over 11 years, all within the customer service focus areas. Through the years, she has helped organizationally develop divisions focusing on customer, employee, and community engagement. In her current role, Heather leads Customer Engagement, Community Engagement, and Marketing and Communications; all award-winning teams for their innovative initiatives. She also serves on the Customer Experience Strike Team focusing on customer experience best practices for the City of Dallas.
Dana Donati
CEO, Breaking Down Barriers
Dana Donati is the CEO of Breaking Down Barriers, an aviation nonprofit dedicated to transforming Dallas communities through aviation by providing flight training scholarships to high-achieving minorities. She previously served as the CEO of United Aviate Academy, Director at LIFT Academy, and was a Captain and Assistant Chief Pilot at Republic Airlines. With a strong background invitation education and workforce development, Dana is passionate about creating opportunities for underrepresented individuals to pursue careers in aviation. Under her leadership, Breaking Down Barriers is bridging the gap in access to aviation careers by fostering mentorship, training, and scholarship programs that empower the next generation of pilots.
James Grimsley
Regional Innovation Officer ,Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub Southern Methodist University (SMU)
James Grimsley services as the Regional Innovation Officer for the Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub at Southern Methodist University (SMU).Grimsley also serves as the Executive Director for Advanced Technology Initiatives with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Mr Grimsley is a former Oklahoma Transportation Commissioner. Mr. Grimsley currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Commercial Drone Alliance (CDA) as well as a variety of other boards and advisory groups. As part of Mr. Grimsley’s Choctaw Nation duties, he currently manages the FAA BEYOND Program (the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is the only tribal lead participant in the BEYOND program), and previously managed the FAA Integration Pilot Program (IPP) for the Choctaw Nation. In October 2022 U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg appointed Mr. Grimsley to the FAA’s Advanced Aviation Advisory Council (AAAC). Mr. Grimsley has also served on multiple FAA Aviation Rulemaking Committees (ARCs) including the Beyond Visual Line of Sight ARC. Mr. Grimsley’s undergraduate and graduate degrees are in aerospace and mechanical engineering, and Mr. Grimsley has more than 34 years of professional experience in the aviation and defense industries including corporate executive experience as well as being an Associate Vice President for Research at the University of Oklahoma. Most of Mr. Grimsley’s career has involved unscrewed aerial systems (UAS) and emerging aviation technologies. Mr. Grimsley has published papers in both peer-reviewed engineering journals and law journals on issues related to drones and emerging aviation. Mr. Grimsley has also testified before Congress on aerospace innovation topics and has appeared multiple times before the Oklahoma legislature to discuss aerospace and aviation policy Mr. Grimsley was a speaker at the White House Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Summit in August 2022. Mr. Grimsley has been a regular speaker at industry and academic conferences and a commentator in the press since 2007 for drone and emerging aviation topics. Mr. Grimsley earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Oklahoma.
Blake Green
Airport Construction Superintendent, City of Oklahoma City
Blake Green has served in his current role with the City of Oklahoma City, Department of Airports as Airport Construction Superintendent since September 2023. He previously served as a Construction Project Manager from 2022-2023 and an Airport Operations Officer from 2013-2022. Mr. Green holds a Master’s Degree in Aviation and Space, a
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Administration and Operations and a Private Pilot’s License from Oklahoma State University. Blake earned his A.C.E. Operations in 2016,
his C.M. in 2018 and A.A.E. in 2024. In his role as Airport Construction Superintendent, he provides detailed reviews of design and construction to ensure compliance with
codes, rules and regulations; development and maintenance of construction program processes and procedures; management, inspection, and approval of construction
projects. Blake has achieved notable success through a long list of his professional accomplishments, which include an $89M terminal expansion project, assisting with
capital planning budget management consisting of approximately $150M per year, and negotiation, management, and execution of the first Construction Manager at Risk
project delivery method at the City and Airport.

Andrea Goodpasture
Managing Director, Airport Affairs
As the Managing Director of Airport Affairs, Andrea leads a Team in the development of strategies at Southwest’s network of airports through the acquisition of airport properties and the
negotiation of airport leases. Andrea began her career at Southwest in 2000, in the Marketing Department serving the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions before transitioning to Marketing Planning to analyze traffic and revenue, and develop marketing strategies. In 2006, Andrea accepted a position in the Airport Affairs Department, serving in various roles
before becoming a Managing Director in 2022. During her time in Airport Affairs, Andrea has had direct responsibility for airport relationships at major airports across Southwest’s network. She now oversees the Team managing these relationships in support of Southwest’s commercial and operational plans. Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts degree from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland and her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She is also accredited with the Association of American Airport Executives (AAAE) as a Certified Member (C.M.).Andrea enjoys running for some quiet time and joining her husband, Miles, watching their active and energetic son play a variety of sports.
Lacey Guzman
Marketing & Air Service Development Manager, Corpus Christi International Airport
Lacey Guzman currently serves as the Marketing and Air Service Development Manager for Corpus Christi International Airport. In this capacity, she is responsible for all facets of airport communications, public relations, and strategic marketing. Additionally, she drives air service development, engaging with airlines to expand and enhance flight options for the community. Demonstrating a strong commitment to the region, Lacey is actively engaged in the Coastal Bend community, serving on the boards of the Young Professionals of the Coastal Bend and the American Advertising Federation-Coastal Bend. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
Ernest Huffman
Aviation Planning and Education Program Manager , North Central Texas Council of Governments
Ernest Huffman was born and raised in Syracuse New York and received his Bachelor in Aeronautical Science from Dowling College and his Master’s in Aviation from Florida Institute of Technology. With over 23 years in the industry Mr. Huffman has worked all over the country as an Aviation Consultant. Included in that is his work as an Airline Technical Representative and development the building of the Chicago O’Hare Airport. His current role is the Aviation Planning and Education Program Manager for the North Central Texas Council of Governments. There he has different duties that include managing the Aviation Education Initiative, Regional Aviation System Plan and the North Texas UAS Safety and Integration Initiative. Ernest is also leading the regions efforts at integrating Advanced Air Mobility.
Gary High
Deputy Director-Large Capital Projects
As Chief Development Officer, High is responsible for:
- Management of the Infrastructure team, including Construction Management, Project Delivery, Design, Project Controls, Building Standards Group, Quality Assurance, and the City Engineer.
- Communicating on behalf of Houston Airports regarding all construction-related endeavors in alignment with the Houston Airport System’s overarching Strategic Goals.
- Represents Infrastructure Division’s interests when collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on current and future developments.
High is the former HAS Assistant Director of Construction Management. He is responsible for ensuring the Infrastructure Division supports the HAS’ mission, vision, core values and strategic priorities. He leads the division in on-time delivery of the HAS Capital Improvement Program with a focused goal to improve reliability, resilience, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. High works to extend the life of HAS’ infrastructure assets by evaluating current conditions, focusing on constructability, cost, efficiency, and life safety in order to provide exceptional customer experience.
High contributes to the team over two decades of experience in construction management. Prior to joining HAS, he worked in the private sector of construction, serving in multiple senior leadership positions with experience managing all aspects of comprehensive project delivery.
Gary earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Houston. He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, an active holder of a PADI Diving Certification, and in his free time, he enjoys water activities with his son.
Scott Hill, C.M.
Deputy Director-Infrastructure
Mr. Scott Hill is the Houston Airports (HAS), Chief Maintenance Officer. In this role he provides executive leadership for the HAS Maintenance Division and is responsible for the effective delivery of self-performed and contracted maintenance at the three HAS airports, which include George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Hobby International Airport (HOU), and Ellington Airport & Spaceport (EFD).
The Maintenance Division that Mr. Hill leads is comprised of the Maintenance, Maintenance Support, Horticulture & Grounds, Quality Assurance, Contract Administration and Fleet Maintenance Services, business units. In a prior role at HAS, Mr. Hill lead the HAS Asset Management business unit, and the implementation and ongoing update of the HAS Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS). He still is responsible for the EAMS Documentation section within the Maintenance Division.
Mr. Hill has over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry gained through his roles in United States Air Force and the Houston Airports. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Facility Manager (CFM) with the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and a Certified Member (C.M.) with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). In 2018, Mr. Hill was one of the Airport Business Top 40 under 40.
Laura Nick
Chief Communications Officer, Garver
Laura Nick leads engineering firm Garver’s in-house communications team charged with all facets of branding, strategic marketing, and internal and external communications. Nick first joined Garver as a corporate recruiter in 2011 and has gone on to develop key initiatives within the firm, including its competitive recruitment program, internal networking programs, and GarverGives, the company’s employee-driven corporate giving program with a focus on STEM education. She has since cultivated a team of 30+ communications professionals who manage outlets ranging from public relations to video production to targeted digital campaigns. In 2023, Nick was named to Garver’s C-Suite as the firm’s first Chief Communications Officer. Her team has amassed renowned industry awards, including a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence and SMPS National Marketing Communications Awards. Outside of Garver, Nick is president of the North Little Rock Chamber board and a member of the Rotary Club of Little Rock, the Women’s Transportation Seminar, and the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
Nathan Huegen
Vice President of Education, Commemorative Air Force (CAF)
Nathan Huegen is the Vice President of Education for the Commemorative Air Force (CAF). In addition to supervising the nationwide educational efforts of the Commemorative Air Force, Nathan oversees the programming and operations of the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center (NAEC) in Dallas, TX. The NAEC features four segments that work together: an aviation heritage museum, a working aircraft hangar, dedicated education spaces, and venue rental opportunities. Nathan joined the CAF in December 2023 after fourteen years at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans where he delivered education programs on-site and globally through field trips, international battlefield tours, and webinars.
Dan Harmon
Director , TxDOT’s Aviation Division
Dan Harmon serves as Director of TxDOT’s Aviation Division, which works closely with the FAA and local stakeholders to support the 271 general aviation airports in the Texas Airport System Plan. He is also responsible for operating the state’s flight services organization, providing passenger and utility service for state agencies, as well as maintenance services for all state-owned aircraft.
He previously served as Director of TxDOT’s Maritime Division, as well as Director of Facilities for the Texas Department of Public Safety. In 2016, he was appointed as a member of the US Department of Transportation’s Maritime Transportation System National Advisory Committee, where he served as Co-Chair of the Marine Highway Sub-Committee and Domestic Shipping Sub-Committee until 2021. He currently serves as chair of the National Association of State Aviation Officials State Block Grant Program Committee.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served on active duty for over 22 years, as a Naval Aviator in the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance community flying the P-3 Orion. He holds a BA in Government from the University of Texas and an MBA from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, graduating with honors.
Gary McDonald
Gary is a seasoned aviation technology leader with extensive expertise in cybersecurity for critical infrastructure. His background involves pioneering innovative solutions around the world, including USA, Europe, Africa & UK, with huge expertise in the aviation and communications sector. He has successfully led major projects at global hubs, including the world’s largest self-bag drop installation at Denver International Airport, Europe's largest at London Gatwick Airport & the very first mobile network in Africa.
Drawing from years of experience integrating advanced technologies, Gary has a deep understanding of cybersecurity requirements essential for protecting critical aviation systems, including Bio Threats. His work focuses on balancing innovation with robust security frameworks to meet evolving industry challenges.

Dan Moran, C.M.
Staff Manager, New Mexico Department Transportation Aviation Division
Mr. Dan Moran, CM is the Staff Manager for the New Mexico Department of Transportation Aviation Division. He oversees the division’s budget which currently includes over $80,000,000 in grants to New Mexico Airports. Dan has served the Division for over 19 years in a variety of roles including acting division director.
Prior to working for the State Aviation Division, Dan worked ten years for Fed Ex in a variety of Management positions with stops in Casper Wy, Ft. Collins CO and Albuquerque NM.
Dan graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and has a Masters in Management and an MBA from Webster University.
Janette McMurtrie, Psy.D.
Simulator instructor pilot, American Airlines Flight Academy
Dr. Janette McMurtrie, is known by most as a “Jill of all Trades,” she is a retired Captain with American Airlines and nearly 50 years of flying experience. Currently
she is an Simulator instructor pilot at American Airlines Flight Academy. During the course of her career, she has been a Chief Pilot and Check Airman for nearly a decade participating in the airline leadership arena. She also retired from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department as a deputy sheriff after 25 years on the streets and various departments. Dr Janette is also an ordained pastor and actively participates as a chaplain with the International Alliance of Chaplain Corp. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with two master’s in counseling
psychology, & pastoral counseling. She is an expert in aviation issues, trauma, & marriage, with over 25+ years in clinical practice. She has owned and consulted in multiple businesses - including her flight school, brewery, and her family furniture manufacturing business. Dr. J’s goal is to help others by helping them cope with aviation related issues and develop into effective leaders. When she’s not flying or teaching, Dr. J volunteers with Women in Aviation International (WAI), ALPA, ISA-21, and Amelia Earhart’s the Ninety Nine’s. She provides education in mental health, leadership, business development, and aviation related issues. She has hosted multiple public and private seminars in these areas as well as publishing articles in magazines. She is currently writing two books that hope to be published soon.
Dean McMath
Environmental Quality Control Manager, RS&H
Mr. McMath has over 35 years of experience with the FAA overseeing federal actions under NEPA and other environmental laws and regulations as well as Part 150 Airport Noise Compatibility studies. He was the FAA Southwest Region’s lead NEPA contact and served as the chairperson for the FAA’s Interdivisional Regional Environmental Network. Mr. McMath currently serves as the RS&H Environmental Quality Control Manager ensuring environmental tasks are completed with quality, accuracy, and in compliance with FAA standards.
Alan Mathew
Interim Sr. Manager of Real Estate & Airline Affairs
Alan Mathew has spent the past decade with the City of Dallas Department of Aviation, beginning his career in the Real Estate & Property Management team. Today, as the Senior Manager of Real Estate and Airline Affairs, Alan oversees real estate operations for Dallas Love Field, Dallas Executive Airport, and the Dallas Vertiport. In this role, he collaborates with airline partners to ensure safe, efficient operations and supports the strategic growth of these key facilities.
Alan earned a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University. As a newcomer to the aviation industry, Alan has built a successful career by embracing challenges, seeking mentorship opportunities, and leveraging strategic networking to develop the expertise needed to thrive in this dynamic field.
Megan McLellan, C.M., MBAA
Strategic Funding Manager, Garver
Megan McLellan has 21 years in the aviation industry. In 2022, Megan joined Garver’s Aviation Team to start and lead the Aviation Strategic Funding Team, serving as the Strategic Funding Manager. In this role, Megan helps airports maximize their funding for strategic capital planning and assists airports with competitive funding applications. Megan enjoys helping airports with funding and project solutions. Before Garver, Megan worked at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Aviation Division where she assisted general aviation airports on strategic planning and project funding/development as an Airport Planner for seven years. In addition, before joining TxDOT Aviation, Megan was at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s Aviation Division for six years, assisting many airports throughout Louisiana with planning, funding, and development of airport capital improvements as a State Aviation Program Manager. Megan also has experience working at airports, previously serving as Executive Director of Acadiana Regional Airport – a large general aviation airport in New Iberia, Louisiana – and as Director of Planning, Marketing, and Development at Chennault International Airport in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Megan has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Aviation Management and received her Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Megan is also a Certified Member (C.M.) of AAAE.
Mitchell McAnally
Regional Aviation Director, Garver
Mitchell McAnally is a senior project manager and Aviation region leader at Garver with over 18 years of experience working exclusively on aviation projects. He has performed work at over 45 airports in Texas and has managed over 155 projects throughout his career at Garver. He has served as the lead for Garver on notable projects such as the Dallas Love Field crossfield taxiway airfield reconfiguration program, McKinney National Airport Commercial Service Program, and DFW Terminal F. Mitchell has been recognized nationally in the Airport Business Top 40 Under 40 list and was recently named to Dallas Business Journal’s 40 under 40 list.
Suresh Narayanan

Meet Suresh, an accomplished entrepreneur, investor, and visionary leader with deep roots in aviation. With a passion for aviation and an unyielding commitment to people first, Suresh continues to raise the bar in how the industry treats its people.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. A pilot himself, Suresh’s interest in aviation began at a young age in the repair station his parents opened after his father completed his career as a Concorde mechanic. Before incorporating Jets MRO, he worked alongside his brother Raj at Aerospace Quality Research & Development (AQRD), contributing significantly to the growth and success of the aerospace engineering, repair station, and military jet modification firm.
Suresh brings invaluable experience as the former COO of JSX and boasts expertise in aviation mergers and acquisitions, steering ventures towards success. He is a proud member of the YPO-North Texas chapter and serves as a dedicated Board Member at the Frontiers of Flight Museum.
Jets MRO is a full-scale maintenance operation in Dallas with a component repair station in Miami. Jets MRO is founded on the principal that we can elevate the way we treat and retain aircraft mechanics.
Matthew LeMay
Senior Project Manager & Electrical Team leader, Garver
Matthew LeMay is a senior project manager and Electrical Team leader on our Aviation Team and has been with Garver for 17 years. Matthew's responsibilities include project management for projects involving power distribution, lighting, airfield lighting, and other special electrical systems. His project experience includes airfield lighting and NAVAIDs design, utility coordination, building renovation including power, lighting, highway lighting, underpass lighting, and other special systems design.
Outside the office, Matthew enjoys spending time with Katie, his wife of 11 years and four children, George, Ada, Albert, and Peggy. He enjoys hiking, camping, and attending renaissance festivals with his family.

With over half a decade of experience in the aviation industry, Sunday has contributed to multiple high-profile projects, some of which have earned national recognition. One of these projects is central to ongoing discussions in the industry, further highlighting his expertise and impact. Before Sunday’s time in aviation, he worked as an operations manager in the banking sector after which he transitioned to work as operations manager for a private security & transportation firm. Sunday has a bachelor’s degree in both Statistic and Civil Engineering. Guided by his life philosophy of faith, hope, and love, Sunday also finds joy in giving back to his community. When he is not managing projects, he enjoys cooking and teaching in his local church.

Ryan Rocha is an accomplished airport professional with 30 years of experience in airport management. As the Assistant Director of Operations and Facilities at San Antonio International
Airport (SAT), his leadership ensures safety, security, and operational efficiency. Ryan is also engaged in the $1.6B Terminal Development Program planned for completion in 2028. Previously, Ryan served as the Airport Integrated Control Center (AICC) Manager at SAT, where he led the overhaul of the airport’s communication center and spearheaded the design and planning of the new Integrated Control Center. His earlier role as Airport Operations Manager contributed to SAT earning the 2011 FAA Southwest Region Airport Safety Award for excellence in aviation safety. Before joining SAT, Ryan was the Manager of Operations, Maintenance, and ARFF at Salina Airport Authority (SLN), where his leadership led to SLN receiving the 2006 FAA Central Region Airport Safety Enhancement Award. He was also part of the operations team that supported the successful Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer flight around the world in 2005 and 2006.Ryan also enriched his career with experience at John Wayne Airport-Orange County and San Bernardino International Airport. Ryan is also passionate about educating the next generation of airport professionals. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses at Kansas State University-Salina and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) earning the ERAU Faculty of the Year award in 2012 for his unique teaching approach. He holds a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Airport Management from Wichita State University. Robin Schmerber
Strategic Communications Manager – Development San Antonio International Airport (SAT)
Robin began her career with the City of San Antonio as an Events Manger at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, managing all-center events and earning the highly-regarding Certified Meeting Professional designation. Having managed hundreds of events for the center, she was asked to join the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) as a National Convention Sales Manager, where she used her experience working with meeting planners to help bring their conventions to the city. She specialized in the Washington DC and Texas markets before moving into a role facilitating and implementing bureau-wide initiatives and partnerships, bringing the CVB team and industry partners together to promote San Antonio. After more than ten years with the CVB, Robin joined the SAT Air Service Development (ASD) team, managing marketing and communications through synchronized efforts with airlines, our San Antonio business community and aviation industry partners. Robin moved to the SAT Development team in 2022 to build internal and external communications strategies, with a focus on community engagement and the ELEVATE SAT brand launch and development, and to share not only new terminal development news, but all the exciting Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and airfield projects underway at SAT.
Lina Sabbah
Director of Aircraft Solutions and Acquisitions, Dallas Love Field Airport
Lina Sabbah is the Director of Aircraft Solutions and Acquisitions at Business Jet, based at Dallas Love Field. In her role, she works with aircraft owners and operators as their trusted advisor throughout the life cycle of their aircraft. From representing owners in the sale/acquisition of their aircraft, to consulting operators on how to optimize efficiencies in their flight operations, it is her mission to equip her clients with unbiased and transparent guidance as they navigate the complexities of aircraft ownership.
Growing up in the Air Capital of the World, Wichita, KS, aviation always had a sense of familiarity to her, however her career in business aviation truly began in college at Textron Aviation where she completed a Sales Operations Internship. She returned to Textron Aviation full-time after graduation, where she spent a year learning the ins and outs of the industry in their Sales Development Program, and eventually landed a sales role that moved her to Dallas, Texas in 2021 where she represented Citation and King Air sales for the OEM. It was in this role that she was exposed to the many facets of aircraft ownership, and truly discovered her passion for working closely with aircraft owners to enhance their ownership experience.
Lina received the National Business Aviation Association’s Top 40 under 40 award in 2024, and currently serves on the boards of the Love Field Pilot’s Association and the North Texas Business Aviation Association. She has enjoyed giving back to the community through volunteering with Challenge Air every spring, helped coordinate the previous Special Olympics Airlift, and continuously promotes the next generation of young professionals as the Scholarship Chair for NTBAA.

Gilberto Sanchez

Gilberto Sanchez is the Director for the Laredo International Airport, which is owned and operated by the City of Laredo. In his role as director, he effectively manages the operational, organizational, and development initiatives the Airport takes. He has been employed by the City of Laredo for over 20 years, serving the community in various positions. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Sanchez was the City’s Budget Director, where he was instrumental in developing and implementing statistical models and financial systems to more accurately monitor market trends. His experience includes managing financial systems, internal controls, strategic planning, financial feasibility studies, and contract management. He is an active community leader and serves as a board member on numerous organizations, such as the Texas Commercial Airports Association and the Laredo Economic Development Corporation. Courtney joined Flagship in 2016 and has advanced from Business Development Representative to Senior Director of Business Development to VP of Aviation Sales, now serving as Senior VP of Sales. During her tenure, she has played a pivotal role in expanding Flagship’s aviation business, growing its presence from seven airports to 28 in just seven years.
As SVP of Sales, Courtney leads the B&I and aviation sales teams in driving new and cross-business opportunities.
